Dr. Jaime Gutierrez-Ang earned his master of arts in teaching English as a second language from the Philippine Normal University (Manila) and a second master's degree in mass communication at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines where in 2001, he obtained his doctoral degree in educational management, currently a PhD in english literature is being pursued with great enthusiasm.
He is a recipient of both national and international awards. Currently he is the chairman and president emeritus of gawad tanglaw -- an academic-based award giving body for media and arts.
